  • Without name or date. The American Antiquarian Society copy was was acquired with a collection of seventy-four issues of the Schoharie Republican, Schoharie, N.Y., dated between 1828 and 1831. The paper was published as the Schoharie Republican from 1819 to 1854, and again from 1858 to 1945. Between 1854 and 1858 it was published under the title "Democratic Republican."
  • Textual evidence suggests that the address was issued during war time. The phrase "Remember Prescott" may refer to General George Lincoln Prescott of Massachusetts, who was mortally wounded at the Battle of Petersburg, Va., on June 18, 1864
  • Text in two columns; printed area, including ornamental border, measures 28.4 x 15.3 cm
