  • Correspondence, reports, publications and manuscripts reflecting the history of Oklahoma, including correspondence from U.S. Government officials (1813-1839) regarding U.S. Indian policy, especially Indian removal, and correspondence (1862) from Confederate officer Albert Pike regarding Confederate Indian policy. Also in this collection are French colonial documents (1682-1794)
  • Also included are manuscripts concerning early education in the Ohio and Mississippi Valleys and the moral and religious condition of the Indians in the western part of North America. An 86 page ledger of "Gold Dust Bought, 1881" showing dates of transactions, customer names, and prices paid. Author unknown. A diary chronicling a trip from New York to the west coast of South America via Panama.
