  • "It is known, that there are many land warrants within the state of Massachusetts, issued after the day of the death of the claimant and are therefore a nullity, by reason of this narrow, unjust construction of the law on this point. They will not be returned, but kept in the hope of their being yet being made good to the legal heirs.
