  • "We do not deem it necessary to say more than that the Western Sanitary Commission needs funds which must be raised ... that of whatever you may have appertaining to this department ... blank and printed books, copy books; writing, printing and wrapping paper; envelopes, ink, pens, pencils, twine, albums, photographs, or any other article in this line of goods, you will contribute liberally to this great cause."
